B.A-B.ED

Integrated B.A–B.Ed is a professional undergraduate program that combines a Bachelor of Arts degree with Bachelor of Education in a single course. It is designed for students who want to build a career in teaching from the beginning. The course covers subjects from the Arts stream such as History, Political Science, Geography, English, and Sociology, along with teaching methodologies, educational psychology, and classroom management. It provides a strong foundation in both subject knowledge and teaching skills, along with practical training through internships and teaching practice in schools.

To pursue B.A–B.Ed, students must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board. While Arts stream students are generally preferred, candidates from other streams can also apply depending on the institution. Most colleges require a minimum aggregate score between 45% and 60%. Admission is usually based on merit or entrance examinations conducted by universities or teacher training institutions. Students should have good communication skills, interest in teaching, patience, and a passion for working with children.

After completing the B.A–B.Ed integrated course, students can work as trained graduate teachers (TGT) in primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools. They are eligible to appear for teaching eligibility exams such as CTET or state-level TET, which are required for government teaching jobs. Graduates can also work in private schools, coaching institutes, or educational organizations. This integrated course saves time compared to doing B.A and B.Ed separately and offers a stable, respected, and rewarding career in the education sector.
